FAQs

Frequently asked questions about physiotherapy

When should I see a physiotherapist?

Whenever you have pain, persistent discomfort, injury or limited mobility. It is also advisable as part of prevention or to improve physical performance.

What does the first physiotherapy visit consist of?

At the first session we carry out a full assessment to understand the root of the problem and define a personalised treatment plan.

How long does a physiotherapy session last?

Sessions typically last between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on the treatment and the patient's needs.

How many physiotherapy sessions will I need?

It depends on the type of injury, progress and goals. Your physiotherapist will explain after the initial assessment.

Can physiotherapy prevent injuries?

Yes. Through mobility, strength, movement control and body awareness work, physiotherapy is key to preventing injuries.

Can I combine physiotherapy with other services at the centre?

Yes. At ACTIVA we work in a multidisciplinary way and, when needed, we coordinate physiotherapy with other specialities to optimise results.
